Maryville University established in the year 1872 by the Religious of the Sacred Heart is located in the West County suburb of Town and Country just 22 miles from the bustle of downtown St. Louis. The University gives highest priority to academic excellence. It is one of the oldest private institutions in the region and is home to over 3,900 students. This student centered campus focuses on teaching and mentoring students for their overall growth and development.  There are around 1,930 undergraduate students, 1,105 weekend college students and 811 graduate students. It provides challenging and exciting course programs to all. The University offers individualized advising and career exploration opportunities to students so that they have every opportunity to excel in their education and career. Apart from academic programs the University also offers other facilities for students.

Maryville’s Center for Global Education  provides support and guidance to international students studying at Maryville University; its office will be able to provide advice about personal, financial, academic and immigration matters for students while studying. Through a variety of study abroad programs, both on campus and internationally, students are encouraged to appreciate the diversity of the human condition and develop the desire and capacity to become engaged in addressing the issues of global society.  All new F-1 and J-1 international students are required to attend the mandatory International Student orientation session wherein students learn about academic resources, find their way around campus and immigration regulations regarding work, full-time study and travel.
